While one can rise up his collar and proudly say that I got my ‘Aadhar’, but he can’t show it to others. lol

How can I forget the bitter experience I had in this regard.

In our place on the day of issue of Aadhar Card, public of a particular ward were asked to assemble in a queue at a nearby school and when I went there I was surprised to find a serpentine queue. While it was a pleasure to see all my neighbours assembled in a place that too in an orderly manner, suddenly there was a commotion in the queue.

When I enquired my Ward Councilor, I was informed that there is power cut which was quite unexpected and they are very busy in arranging a generator.

At last, after sometime, the generator arrived and there was a great sigh of relief among the public who are standing in the scorching sun.

Even after arrival of the generator, there was no sign of progress in the queue and then we were informed that they are now arranging for diesel for the generator.

And by the time when the diesel arrived, it was lunch time and the staff went for their lunch leaving the entire crowd to wait and starve.

Somehow with the arrival of local police, though orderliness was maintained, there were local politicians availing VIP quota.

With great anxiety and expectation we slowly moved and reached the counter by 3 PM with an actual feeling of JOY as though we got a jackpot. We have absolutely no idea about our appearances at that point of time and all our feeling was to come out of that laborious exercise of standing in a queue for hours together.

When I joined the queue it was 08.00 AM.

I now leave it to the imagination of Members about my 'appearance' in Aadhar Card Photo.:-)

AADHAAR ADVEVTURE...!!

We did'nt have problem as a camp was arranged by one of the residential associations..ofcourse with a donation of Rs.100/- per head.. But still we feel it was a worthy donation ...!! I am still trying to find out the 'person' based on the 'face' in the Aaadar card..!!

when aadhar cards got introduced first in delhi, resident welfare associations organised it free for its

members. there was lukewarm respnse since a story got around that govt was getting access to

private info of public including bank accounts which could be misused.it got boycotted in several

places. it was reorganised more than once to make everyone get it. even later one could go to

central locations to get a card. it was a very smooth exercise with no hassles. I look even good in

aadhar card. i have a ghastly look in voters card. PAN card had half black photo, I was forced to

get a dupicate made to have a recognisable face. Passports have the best photos after engagement

of TCS

How about our passport photos? :dizzy:
For some persons it is a sort of ghostly too ! :fear:

The reason: We never see our faces / others faces in THAT stupid angle!
