மீரட்டில் நாதுராம் கோட்சேவுக்கு கோயில் கட்டும் முயற்சியில் முதல் கட்டமாக இந்து மகாசபை பூமி பூஜை செய்துள்ளனர் என்ற செய்திகளை அடுத்து விசாரணைக்கு உத்தரவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மீரட்டில் உள்ள சாரதா சாலையில் பூமி பூஜை நடத்தப்பட்டதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.

இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் அகில இந்திய இந்து மகாசபை தேசியப் பொதுச் செயலர் ஆச்சார்ய மதன், நாதுராம் கோட்சேயை புகழ்ந்து பேசியதாகவும், அவரே நாட்டின் உண்மையான பற்றாளர் என்றும், ராமர் கோயில் விவகாரம் தொடர்பாக பிரதமர் மோடியை சாடியதாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது.

அதே போல் மதமாற்றத்தை ஆதரித்து பிரச்சாரம் செய்ய இந்து மகாசபையினர் வலியுறுத்தியதாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது.

இதனையடுத்து மாவட்ட மேஜிஸ்ட்ரேட் (பொறுப்பு) நவ்நீத் சிங் சாஹல் செய்தி நிறுவனத்திடம் கூறும் போது, இந்த விவகாரத்தை தீவிரமாக அணுகுவதாகவும் விசாரணைக்கு உத்தரவிடப்பட்டதாகவும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். மேலும், உண்மை நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டால் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட நபர்கள் மீது கடும் நடவடிக்கை உறுதி என்றும் அவர் கூறியுள்ளார்.

மேலும் பூமி பூஜை விவகாரம் குறித்து உள்ளூர் உளவுத்துறை அறிக்கை சமர்ப்பிக்கவும் உத்தரவு பிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்றும் சட்டம் ஒழுங்கு, மற்றும் அமைதியை சீர்குலைக்க ஒருவருக்கும் உரிமை இல்லை எனவே கடும் நடவடிக்கை உறுதி என்று அவர் மேலும் தெரிவித்தார்.

I am not an admirer of Godse..But when India was partitioned on religious lines in 1947 was justice meted to the Hindus?...Did India become a Hindu country..There is also a recent article which said that both Nehru and Mountbatten knew the plot to assassinate Bapu...Why no action was taken to increase the security to Mahatma..Now we have a party that venerates Godse that is in power...Nothing wrong in my opinion to have a memorial for Godse..Temple may be too much

[h=1]Godse temple issue: Case lodged against Hindu Mahasabha leader[/h]A case has been registered against a leader of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha for allegedly making objectionable remarks and announcing that a “temple” dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse will be constructed here, police said on Friday.

The case has been registered against national general secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha Acharya Madan under IPC Section 504 (insulting another person with intention to provoke breach of peace) and Section 505 (1) (making, publishing or circulating rumours) at the Brahampuri police station, SP (City) Om Prakash said.

According to the SP, on Wednesday, at the office of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha on Sharda Road in Brahampuri area, it was announced that a “statue” of Godse will be placed on January 30 for the construction of a “temple” dedicated to him.

On the occasion, Acharya Madan had allegedly made objectionable remarks against Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the SP said.

He had also claimed that Meerut will have the country’s first “temple” dedicated to Nathuram Godse, the SP said.

The outfit had on Wednesday performed a ceremony here for construction of the “temple”, following which the district administration had ordered a probe on Thursday.

Mahasabha firm on installing Godse statue

Despite administration crackdown, the Hindu Mahasabha insists on celebrating January 30, the day Mahatma Gandhi was shot dead by Nathuram Godse, as 'shourya Diwas'.

The celebrations include installation of Godse statue in different parts of the country including Meerut and Delhi

Madan Acharya, the national general secretary of Hindu Mahasabha, who was booked on Thursday by UP police, said the installation of Godse statue in different parts of the country, including Meerut would happen as scheduled.

His insistence comes even as the UP Government warned the Hindutva groups of stern action and a "possible ban" if they don't stop themselves from their agenda of 'disturbing' communal harmony.

Senior leader of the ruling Samajwadi Party and a Minister in the Akhilesh Yadav Government, Shivpal Singh, told the media on Thursday that the State Government would not allow anybody to 'divide' the country in the name of religion.

The Hindutva outfit, which adores and romanticises Nathuram Godse as a 'patriot' and a 'martyr', had on Wednesday organised a bhumi pujan to install his statue and a temple in Meerut after which the State administration booked several of its leaders.

"Whatever the administration plans to do, we would as per the schedule install the statue of pandit Nathuram Godse on January 30,"

"Our network exists across the country in 16 States. In UP alone, we have offices in 63 districts where we will organise programmes to mark 'shaurya diwas," added Mr. Madan.

He said the Mahasabha would also install a statue in Ambala where Godse was executed.

I dont find anything wrong in this...after all most festivals are built around death of someone or the other.

Diwali is the death of Narakasura....Dusshera is death of Ravana.

Others are death of some Asura or the other.

Now coming to who is good and who is bad depends on who won the war.

So for some Naturam is a not bad and for some he might be bad.

After all even Shani Bhagavan who gives "ill effects" to most people is also worshiped and also has a temple and is present as a Navagraha is most temples.

So going by this logic anyone and anything can be worshiped.

Next we can have a temple for Obama the slayer of Osama.

If you read Hindu Janajaagruti Samaj (HJS)website on how they adore Obama looking up to him to finish off ISIS..I think if Obama does finish off ISIS HJS will declare him as the Kali Yuga Avatar!LOL

Godse did a violent act and paid for it. He was found guilty and hanged. But the judges allowed him to read out his statement in the court, 'why I killed gandhi'.

There is a temple of Ravana as far as I know..bit that is besides the point.

The fact remains that Ravan and Narakasura are the backbone for we Hindus even having a celebration.

BTW each celebration was not based on principles of Ahimsa becos there was a valid reason for resorting to violence in the eye of the slayer....so that way I do not see anything wrong in having a temple for Godase. He had his reasons to be a slayer.

It is history that following the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi,Nathuram Godse was tried for his act of violence and was sentenced to death. He was hanged at Ambala Jail on Nov.15,1949.

Now, the outfit has reported that it had planned to observe Mahatma Gandhi’s assassinated day i.e. on January 30 as ‘Shaurya Diwas’ meaning ‘Bravery Day’.

As it is, a case has been registered against a leader of Akila Bharathiya Hindu Mahasabha for alleged making objectionable remarks and announcing that ‘a temple dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Gondse will be constructed’ under section 504(insulting another person with intention to provoke breach of peace) and Section 505(1) (Making, publishing or circulating rumors) at Brahapuri PoliceStation.

Hope the law is taking its own course.

there is something seriously wrong with our economic model where 50-60 percent of population

are being called relatively poor and require subsidies of govt in some form or other. that is making

us a nation of beggars seeking favours from politicians,social organisations, foreign agencies

staking our self respect, religion and what all we hold dear.

unless the difference in highest and lowest income is harshly reduced , there cannot be a level

playing field. there are distortions in the economy with stock market booming with foreign funds

, high growth 6 percent projected but manufacturing and agriculture in doldrums an unemployment

at all time high.lower oil prices may reduce current account deficit. wholesale inflation last figure

0percent for nov . is there a feel good feeling anywhere for the common man?. he has nothing to

look forward to.

with this scenario, poor and middleclass can turn to religion. but there also culture police and

unsavoury conversions by godmen of various religions are making a mockery of religion.

where do then poor and middle class go for peace of mind ?

Simply sitting before a system and typing out one’s free flow of thoughts will not get anybody near the dream how colourful it may be especially to reform the youngsters.

One has to reform self before reforming the society.

And what is the current generation doing towards this?

The poster is free to motivate the current generation by preaching them day in and day out or brain wash them/convince them and ensure that the desired reform is achieved instead finding fault with the existing system and blaming the society for everything and anything. It is still possible. What is required is 'iron will' and 'hard work'. Will he?

Gandhi killers can’t be eulogised: judge

“One has no right to take the life of the other because they have differences”

Moves afoot by some ‘Sangh Parivar’ outfits calling for erecting statues of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse came in for sharp condemnation by Justice D. Hariparanthaman, a sitting judge of the Madras High Court on Saturday.
Addressing a meeting here, organised by social activist P. Rathinam against the Hindu Mahasabha’s decision to install Godse’s statues on January 30, Gandhiji’s martyrdom day, the judge said that no murderer, much less the one who killed the Father of the Nation, could be eulogised.

“To be frank, I differ with Mahatma Gandhi on many issues as Dr. Ambedkar did. But that does not mean we can discount the fact that it was he who spearheaded the freedom movement. One has no right to take the life of the other just because they have differences of opinion,” he said.

Stating that neither Godse nor his brother and co-conspirator Gopal Godse ever repented for their act of killing Mahatma Gandhi, he said that Gopal Godse, who was released from prison in 1967 after 18 years of incarceration, had even justified the killing until his death in 2005.

The judge pointed out that in an interview to a leading foreign magazine in February 2000, Gopal Godse had reportedly said: “Non-violence is not a principle at all. He (Gandhi) did not follow it. In politics, you cannot follow non-violence. You cannot follow honesty. Every moment, you have to give a lie.”

Wondering if politicians would agree with his statement, the judge asked how come people who claimed to be “religious, God fearing and pious” had chosen to assassinate Mahatma Gandhi on the way to a prayer meeting, and doubt if he had uttered the words ‘Hey Ram’ while breathing his last.

“The Constitution recognises the right to practise, profess and preach any religion. But it does not recognise fundamentalism. People can be religious but should not act as if they are possessed by a religious ghost. No religious group has the right to claim superiority over the other,” he said.
