Cho is a political commentator. Most of his comments do not reflect seriousness. I don't think his comments could make or break any one in Elections. Ms J. Jayalalitha is a shrewd Politician, who takes her decisions without
consulting any one.

If I remember correctly , Cho highlighted corruption during her rule in ninetiesand orchestrated her govts fall with support from rajnikant . now he has become a BJP sympathiser and promoting alliance of jayalalitha with modi.He is a middleman for north based parties with no political base in south and aids them using his contact with tamil politicians.J. sees in him a person who can help her realise her national ambitions.

just like man proposes god disposes..cho proposes people disposes...he is more a shrewd political commentator than a strageist:happy:

I think that is only an "ina ozhukkam"; nothing great about it. I think Cho bowed to NaMo (Na Mo)unwittingly in a meeting addressed by Modi. Na Mo said "Saurashtrians had come to TN to develop TN years before and there are thousands of Tamilians who are making a living in Gujarat." It was a degrading speech. Gujarati businessmen prospered only by selling goods to developing TN and the South. No Modi. It is time every State's people rose to make their own progress by themselves and make India a federal state and maintain unity in diversity. No Modi and never Modi.

Hi Iyyarooran Annaachchi,

Can you please elaborate what is meant here by "Ina Ozhukkam" ?

The context has to be kept in mind. Modi did not mean any disrespect to Tamils. He just said in his own way Tamils and Gujaratis have close connections. What is so wrong about that? What Modi has said is far better than trumpeting day in and day out (including it in the school syllabus and teaching it to our children) that we brought stones from the Himalayas by loading it on the heads of Kanaka-Vijayan the kings of some small kingdom in the Himalayas. Chauvinism is thinly spread all over India.

A writer who makes money with his pocket borough Thuklak which is notorious for its wry humour. Most of what is written in that magazine is contributed by Cho himself. To preserve his personal interest he will compromise. But there is a huge group of committed TB followers who follow him on his magazine and consider him as the avatar of Chanakya. Some Chanakya this man!! LOL.

Only modi is advocating unity in diversity; rest diversity and fight. People migrate to other areas and countries initially for self development as most of us who are outside tamilnadu have done.

Cho is an analyst and always gives the logic and events and past history that led him to the conclusions.

I like CHO as the writer of theatre plays.and some good political satire on stage -his play , muhammed bin tughlaq and enru thaniyum sudandira dagam were good.initially he was anti kamaraj and later became his admirer. His attempts to taken on the establishment during emergency and later making peace with it lowered his stature. He missed becoming a national icon since he did not finally rise to the heights expected of a very bold man . his attempts to be always anti establishments but carried away by hero worship periodically are fault lines in his personality . some writings in tughlak magazine are vitriolic.his books with religeous overtones might have attracted some TBs.what he stands for nobody knows. today ,it is BJP .tomorrow who knows?

To become a PM one has to be careful in his speech. But politicians have a way of putting things and words. Modi clan are known for this. Are we not trying to change from history to progress? Oh, the first line: A practice by some people.

Cho is one person who has been closely associated with JJ since she was a child...They share a bond of almost 50 years...He has opposed JJ when she was the Propaganda secretary of AIADMK in the 80's..Later he has reconciled to JJ...Since 2001, after becoming CM in second stint he has been actively supporting JJ...It is a friendship that traverses through Cinema, Journalism and politics

When JJ expelled in 2011, the Mannargudi coterie from positions of power and influence Cho supported that...There was a talk in Chennai that Cho saved her life as she was administered a slow poison...

He is now caught between 2 friends - JJ & Modi....As they are heading rival parties his position is tenuous...But being a smart guy he says he supports JJ for State and Modi for Center

This is what he had to say of JJ in 2011

'A determined attempt to cleanse administration' - The Hindu

Do you see whether she has got greater political ambitions – playing a big role at the national level?

I do not think that she has any agenda like that. But, she is not the person to shirk any responsibility because she is the one who meets challenges head on. You have seen it in her career. She takes up challenges but it does not mean she is running after positions.
You ask any administrator in the State who has served various Chief Ministers. They would tell you that she is very good at grasping matters concerning governance. She is a very determined character. If she takes it up, she would discharge her responsibilities and come out with flying colours. That does not mean that I feel she is going to take it up.
