attachment.php

It is a noble deed indeed!

Abroad, I've seen pics of mothers/parents tonsuring their heads because their sweet little children and daughters, especially, are fighting the evil villain Cancer. A noble cause...

in india women donating hair in temples like tirupathi or palani is very common. there is hardly any

shortage of hair or wigs. one can get excellent wigs for a very small amount for those requiring

these.

here most do not think much of tonsuring or going without hair . many find wearing wigs very

uncomfortable in hot humid seasons.even for cancer patients ,it requires a few months to regrow .

for most , it is trauma of cancer accompanied by loss of hair that is shocking.

I know some ladies who have gone thru this. these have survived ,regrown their hair and gone

back to normal lives. most common are breast cancer patients. at early stages it is easily curable.

only post cancer operation, regular check ups are a nuisance and there is a deep fear about

recurrence. many lose interest in normal living and become withdrawn and philosophical.

hair is least of their concerns

In india , these girls shown in picture are are getting duped and are being made to lose their hair by some hair buying cartel.

hair export to western countries and US is big business.
