10. Taking a glove off, Bangladesh match, 2016 T20 WC In the last ball of a must-win against Bangladesh, our opponents needed two runs to win. A four or six would be grand. Even a single run would tie the match. a) That's when Dhoni decided that the bowler would bowl a short ball. b) That's because the tail-ender wouldn’t be able to play that particular ball. c) The tail-ender would thus miss. d) Hence the ball would reach Dhoni and he would run out the batsman and win the match. Having written that script, Dhoni took of a glove and moved back to receive the missed short ball. Height of arrogance? Delusion? That's what you would think before the ball was bowled. But then that is exactly what happened! There are those who think that destiny is written in stone. There are those who write their own destiny. No prizes for guessing which category Dhoni falls into!

My anti virus software does not permit me to open the link mentioned. However, my views are

(1) A true leader is one who carries on with zeal in taking decisions unmindful of the consequences - for which he knows that adverse result will end up criticism.
(2) Dhoni, in spite of his best performance as a captain and as a wicket keeper (who chipped in with aggressive batting to turn the tide in favour of our team) is the most "hated" by critics - after all he has no support from "powers that be", especially from persons like Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri etc.
(3) Dhoni never reveals his joy or disappointment on the field (in recent times, he also started expressions !) which is a very rare among cricketers. The expression of aggression shown by teams such as Australia, Pakistan are noticeable.

All said and done, Dhoni has given the best winning streak to Indian Cricket team - which is there for records. Future captains may emulate some of his positive qualities to be successful.

Doni is a very confident man !
His level of confidence was revealed in one of his interviews to the media some time back, wherein he simply said that he is having the self-belief that he could hit the ball from any bowler (in the world)... over the fence.

Dhoni is the reason behind the Indian resurgence in limited over matches! He is a master craftsman and very shrewd captain!

It is a good article. Although most of those matches been watched never aware such deep planning were required to win those matches. Great work done captain cool!!
