A proud moment for me - want to share with you all, my friends..

Dear Friends,

I have been traveling a lot and was not able to log in as much as I would like to. But this is one proud moment for me, which I thought I should share with you all..




That was one proud moment for me when I won the First prize for 'SMART LADY' contest conducted by Mangayar Malar. The first prize is Rs. 10000/- worth Tab. The contest consisted of three different sub contests. the first one for which I had to write a blog on 'Unique Me' as I would introduce myself in a blog, second was a poem for a picture and third one was to upload a very different picture taken by self with appropriate description for the same. . I... have posted the picture and announcement that appeared in the latest Mangayar Malar for you to see .

Thanks for the great appreciation. Yes tha pic was mine but not the present one. That picture was taken while I was in service some 10/11 years back when my Secretary who had a purchased a new camera took this picture. I was in Singapore when Mangayar Malar asked for picture, to go with the announcement of first prize winner, I had this picture in my laptop which I forwarded to them. Now I look my age i.e 66 years.

Thanks for the appreciation and yes it feels so nice to receive from a very popular Magaine like Mangayar Malar. in hindi there is a saying 'mehnath ka fal achaa lagtha hai' meaning when you eat the fruit after great efforts , it tastes very good. Same way, when you win a prize against stiff competition it feesl still more nice na.. and when the appreciation comes from a knowledgeable person, then it feels very very good.

I always tell my patients to be active minded cos that helps brain function as we age.

It is not an insult at all.
