Hare Krishna
I just found this website Grand Sweets and Snacks , Sri Krishna Sweets , Adyar Ananda Bhavan wherein a lot of my favorite products such as the wonderful Puliyodharai paste, Pepper Rasam paste are listed. The products all seem to ship straight from adyar to usa. I told about this to my sis-in-law who lives in New Jersey and she was super-excited. So sharing it with everyone here, so that people may benefit! Lots of yummy sweets also listed. Enjoy!

BTW: Price comparison - someone who visited us recently from India had brought us 'Pepper Rasam paste' (500 gm) which was priced at Rs. 195. Whereas through this website, it is $12.95.

Yes, I have seen it. They used to sell it through Amazon.
Have you seen the price? The MTR sambar powder in Indian grocery store is $3.99.

Oh, really, they used to sell it through Amazon? I did not know that. After my daughter's liking for pepper rasam from Grand Sweets paste, I browsed just a few days ago and found this site. There is another site called 'jeyamimports.com' that sells everything for half of the price of this site, but don't know about the product itself - for example, the pepper rasam which is 12.99 in this site is 6 dollars in the jeyam site. I wonder how they afford to give it at that price!

jeyam imports is in australia

Jeyam Imports Pty Ltd

also note the content amount..175 grams for the price quoted; also it is in australian dollars; shipping to australia is different than to usa.

here in toronto, one enterprising gentleman, once a year during deevali time, imports a whole container of grand sweets stuff. you can pre order what you want. otherwise, trust your luck, and take what is left.

one should not look at the price. it is the convenience and pleasure of getting madras made stuff fairly fresh and top condition. and still it is cheaper, than a return airfare from toronto to chennai, to get all these stuff, and that too 40 kgs at the most per person, provided you dont have anything else in your luggage :)

Dear Kunjuppu Sir,

I am talking about Jeyam Import's 'Pepper Rasam Paste' (made by grand sweets) which is 450 gm -- and sold for $5.00.

Pepper Rasam Paste 450gms

Whereas, the same product (?) or the one at 500 gm is sold at $12.99 through indiansweetsinusa.com.

Nothing explains to me this price difference, but like you said, it is ok to spend once in a while without worrying too much about price. :)

But upon trying to place an order yesterday through indiansweetsinusa.com site, they specified that to checkout, atleast 2.5 kg of products have to be ordered. So ordering 8 different items, I was thinking that this site can perhaps cut out atleast the shipping cost for a big order.
