Amit Shah has been the ears & eyes of the PM...He has managed a majority for the BJP first time by single handedly managing close to 130 seats in UP, Bihar & his own home state Gujarat..We can call him the architect of the BJP juggernaut in the Lok Sabha elections

I saw his interview in Aap ki Adalat aired on India TV and he was able to answer the questions posed by the indomitable Rajat Sharma with aplomb..Has the gift of the gab..Very articulate..Spontaneous in his communication...He will be an asset to both RSS & BJP

Shah's appointment will have a far-reaching impact on Indian politics too.

Shah will emerge as the CEO of Modi’s political dreams and the RSS’s cultural passion.

Less compromising than Modi on ideological issues, he is more loyal to the RSS DNA and its agenda, including Article 370, Uniform Civil Code and the Ram temple. Unlike Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, he is not an integral part of the political set-up of New Delhi.
For Shah all that goes with cultural nationalism, the concept of Indian family values, village traditions, religious scriptures and uplift of Varanasi is as important as signing MoUs for infrastructure development.

Amit Shah is set to win his next gamble - Rediff.com India News

Amit Shah has shown his ability at the grassroots level. He had successfully outwitted the caste overlords of UP. But will he be able to serve BJP well in a presidential role͵ which requires more of suavity and finesse than streetsmartness?
