In 2003 , little chunchun aged 3yrs was diagnosed with brain cancer requiring immediately brain surgery .

She was immediately operated on by a neuro surgeon who also helped her family get affordable surgery at Gangaram hospital.

The grateful family decided to change her name to Amrita Acharya after the doctor DR Rajesh Acharya who operated on her as a tribute to him.

As for Dr Acharya , the gesture was like an award . Surgeons get national and international awards and put up citations on display.Dr says 'how do you display

an award like this?'

A great gesture from a surgeon, especially in these days of Shylock-like medicos demanding their pound of flesh!
