Dear Renu,

We have posted many bhajans and abhangs in 'Thullatha manamum thullum' thread but there is no thread

exclusively for bhajans so far. I think you could have posted this thread in 'Music and dance' forum! :)

You are correct, Renu! In fact chit chat forum is almost a monopoly of P J Sir. :thumb:

Nara Sir also posts here!

Dear P J Sir,

Bhajan is supposed to be simple verses in praise of a deity set to a simple tune. Hence group singing is possible.

Here is an example:

Sri Krishna Bhajan

But now a days, bhajan groups sing some fast numbers too. I hope you heard the girl's group which is so vibrant!

Bhajans need not have group singers always. Many carnatic artists add one bhajan at the tail end of their concert. :)

Here is a bhajan, sung without accompaniments by Smt. Ranjani:

Ranjani sings a Tulsi Das bhajan

Nice Bhajan sung by a Western Devotee in a cute Western Accent.

I am confused..Since Renuka Madam wants Bhajan in Chit-Chat...what Bhajan we have to do..?

Soniya Bhajan/Rahul Bhajan/ Modi Bhajan..?..or BharatRathna Bhajan..?
