Yes, it is very disturbing, the current state of affairs, where you hear about a rape practically every day. There are multiple reasons for rapes increasing due to various socioeconomic reasons, and there are no easy solutions.
I'm not sure whether this video would be really effective in getting the message across- it would probably be understood only by the more educated viewer, not by the
"masses", but again I'm not sure.

Based on the discussions that took place in this very forum on a thread about rape a few months back, it seems to be the general opinion of the population. The day the society recognizes that women are not sexual objects, will be the day when rape will cease to exist. Unfortunately human race is the only species that indulges in this despicable behavior.

Really sad :-(

Yes, indeed, the woman is always blamed! And you are spot on when you say the day women are not treated like sex objects is the day rape will stop. We live in a patriarchal, masochistic society which pays lip-service to women but perpetrates all kinds of crimes. I know, this may be true of societies almost all over the world, but we seem to be taking the lead in this regard!

yes, we have folks like that. i dont want to blame them. but when these guys start criticizing a classic work of art, i dont know what to say.

for example, there is a superb tamil movie out now, called 'moodar koodam'. it is high class wit and reality, and there are idiots who went because someone told them, and came out, slamming the movie. if you get a chance, please see it, and let me know, please renu.

i am waiting to see it in toronto. along with lunchbox abd the good road (india's oscar nominee btw).

I am the wrong person for you are to be asking to watch movies where one has to think!LOL

I don't watch Oscar nominee movies of anykind..I only watch B grade Hollywood movies or comedies..all time favorite is "Dude where's my car" and the "Hang Over 1 & 2".

B grade horror movies are great cos the ghost always kills the chick with the biggest boobs first and shows his face on the 1st take itself.

A grade horror movies keeps you wondering "is there a ghost or not"..too much yaar..how can anyone sit through an A grade horror when ghost shows up so late?

I love Masala types Indian Movies..Boy chases girl..fall in love..songs..dance number..item numbers..fights etc.

Give me Chennai Express types /Vijay's movies anytime..I like those sorts of movies..fast moving and where I can relax without thinking too hard.

Movies for me is a visual delight and the actress should be hot and good looking...otherwise I wont watch!LOL
