It is sickening to keep receiving news like these! Why can't an abandoned bore well be covered safely?
Why can't authorities set rules to safely cover the open wells with suitable slabs or fabricated steel grill fixtures ?
Offenders should be slapped with most highest punishment for setting death traps for unsuspecting innocent children ..it is high time we and authorities wake up and act on this social crime.
Whether it is in open land or in private land, bore well sinking and abandoning it has to be registered and norms have to be set.
Public has to be educated on the risks and dangers of this silly mistakes which leads to this mammoth level of pain, sufferings and atrocities the affected people and victim undergo
It is high time we make a drastic change..
Can't keep hearing this again and again!!

WhatsApp news says that another little girl climbed and slipped into a drum of water in the area of rescue operation, drowned and died!

She should have been taken care of by her parents, right?

Foolish guys leave their children to roam around in dangerous places and blame others, when there is a mishap!

Congress 3 lakhs
Money is flowing in from various sources. Total may cross 50 lakhs.

And there is the demand from Thirumavalavan that Rs. 1 crore should be paid to the family and additionally one member in the family should be given a Govt job.

Mother of the child who died has demanded in her interview that a temple should be built for the child.

only a demand for a BMW or a Lamborgini is pending.

Tamils are great people. Their culture is the best in the world. If you have a child which is sick and declared almost dead take it to a borewell and do what is necessary. You will become a millionaire.

It appears that he had fallen to a depth of 100 feet and died a gruesome and painful death by slow asphyxiation over several days. It is a tragedy which shouldn't befall any child or his parents. My heartfelt condolences to the family. Om shantih!
The child and his family are Christians. In the Bible, Jesus promises that if anyone even had faith as small as a mustard seed in Jesus one could perform miracles. Such a faithful person could order the mountain to move and it would. Nothing is impossible to the faithful. That is the promise Jesus makes in Matthew 17:20.
I want to know why none of the Christian pastors of Tamilnadu prayed in the name of Jesus and ordered the bore-well to makea way so that the child could've been rescued. Where were the miracle performers like lazarus mohan, Ezra sargunam or jegath gasper like "God deputed men" If Jesus was really telling the truth in Matthew 17:20 and if the pastors didn't pray in his name to rescue the child then it is criminal negligence tantamount to culpable homicide. If Jesus was lying then the pastors are guilty of misleading the unsuspecting and gullible flock. The parents of the child, who were likely brainwashed into believing the words of Jesus, would've hoped that Jesus or prayers to him would have saved the trapped child. There is nothing more cruel than giving false hope and exploiting gullible people. When they heap abusing Hindu faith as a daily release and this would have beena perfect opportunity for them to have proved their claims of miracles. I am harsh on the pastors for reasons presented above. Let me offer an analogy. If a quack promised a cure for cancer and a child died of cancer because of the lack of efficacy of the cure, we would show no mercy to the quack. We would justifiably call him a charlatan. Here, Is Jesus making a false promise which amounts to worse than what any quack ever promised. Millions of gullible Christians live their lives trusting the words of Jesus and his alleged miraculous powers as being loudly broadcasted by the pastors . Christian missionaries conduct countless faith-healing meetings and advertise the miraculous powers of Jesus to convert the gullible. Are we not justified in asking what happened to those alleged powers when the child was dying a horrific death in the defunct bore-well? I am justified in taking the pastors to task for not demonstrating their faith in Jesus and saving the child when the opportunity presented itself so well ....

Yes ma'am,
I feel sorry that the precious life of young child was lost in spite of the best efforts of Government agencies to rescue the child alive.

Parents are "trustees" for the life they are blessed to bring into this world. It is their primary responsibility to take care of the innocent child till they are capable of taking care of themselves. That is the law of nature.

This kind of accidents happen repeatedly in many places. There are enough guidelines prescribed by both Central and State Governments. Unfortunately they are not followed strictly by the people engaged in digging Tube wells , neither by Government agencies, authorised to supervise. Cases have been filed in HCs and PILs have been filed in SC and clear instructions are found in the order of disposal of such cases.
They are available in the nett. The last one was ordered by SC on August 6, 2010 to take immediate measures to prevent such mishaps.

As per the latest reports a PIL has been filed by an Advocate protesting bore well deaths in the wake of fatal fall of this Child also. Which is available in the following weblink.

No one should jump into complaining on the efforts of dedicated people who struggled to rescue the child. Each accident is different from other.
And all suggestions are not solution.
Let the Government be serious in preventing such fatal accidents, initiate strict adherence to preventive measures given in the guidelines of SC Order. They should fix the responsibility and punish the people responsible for the lapse if any.

Worst reaction is on the part of Political Parties vieing with each other by rushing with offering lakhs of Rupees to the parents of the Child to compensate the loss of their two year old Child !
Even the Government of TN has joined in this race. I have no comment to make, except that all the wealth in the world cannot bring back the life of the child lost.
