Can crows be problem solvers?

Remarkable memory and analytical capabilities of the crow! Have you ever noticed that if you put food to a crow, does the same crow come at designated time!

Hindus and crows are closely associated as we give the offering of food to Pitrus and crows are served first...

Crows can recognize human faces too!

Are there more Indian stories about the crows?

Of course, many ancient Indian folk tales formed the basis for Aesop’s fables, one of which tells the story about the crow and the pitcher. A desperately thirsty crow figured out that if he dropped enough pebbles into the long-necked pitcher, he could raise the water level high enough to allow him to drink.

Scientists are now proving that crows can really do that.
Study Shows Crows Are as Smart as Seven-Year-Olds | EcoWatch

Researchers are now trying to validate that the crows can make and use tools, conspire together by conveying information to other crows, and remember things like locations where people shot at them years before. They can even remember your face and tell other crows who you are.

Don’t annoy a crow - it will remember you—and you don’t want that.

Now scientists claim that crows are about as smart as a seven-year-old kid, in certain contexts. See here:

Dear Naina Sir,

Birds are described as intelligent as animals in fables.

Do you remember the return feast that a stork gave to a cunning fox?

Crows are intelligent. They can sense the arrival of a guest to our sweet home!

I have experienced this several times. That crowing will be in a peculiar manner. :)

There are a few superstitions too - result of a crow flying from left to right / right to left, in front of us.

Sir,

While we train pet parrots to call names and words, we train ourselves by crowing at 'mottai maadi' to pick up the food offered to these birds on the days of ceremony.

Besides, one has to see the unity exhibited by these birds on seeing a dead crow.

There are things that one need to learn from birds/animals.:-)
