Forget about rituals. GOD knows he creates and the body expires on its assigned time. Just go and pray and do not tell your relatives. There is nothing to fear about GOD. He/She combination has given you free will and intelligence. Will I go? Yes, but I seldom go to temple and HE/SHE some times make me go there, thus I have traveled all over India and visited more temple when the crowd is less. Uncle's wife belongs to another Gotra and only three days you mourn. You can mourn if she was nice to you and you got attached. Then when you to the temple, pray to GOD to make her a flower at his feet and never have rebirth. He will do it (this what my father-in-law told me before he died). Sorry, no humor or surcasticsm is intended but that is nature of my thinking.
