we spend a lot of time on desk tops accessing various sites , and also receive lots of mail besides storing indiscriminately all kinds of things
the first impulse when we do a transaction is to save it as senior citizens are more prone to forget things easily
slowly the desk tops are full , c drive is cluttered . slowly the amount disk space also reduces . the response time increases . we all have desk tops of hyder kalam . for sentimental reasons we also do not part with them . we also have large size screen and prefer large size letters for ease of reading.
we are unable to go for laptops or ipads since we do not feel comfortable with any thing small or tiny
once in a while we use the c cleaner . we also do not know what we have stored many times and for what reason. we may delete once in a while some items on desk tops . we need to be more circumspect on files on Cdrive , though simply deleting many willl release a lot of memory space and speed up response
I would welcome some practical ideas on how to remove what is not wanted , how to speed up the system . I have also collected a lot of electronic junk . A neat way of disposal of electronic waste -any suggestions .
I have put up a network linking 2 desk tops , 2laptops , mobiles and spread digital items in 3 rooms of a flat . this is what happens if your kids are IT savvy . when they visit me they add a gadget /gizmo somehow link with each other and leave me with it to play around .
then i operate , damage some link and wonder how to fix it . It is a pastime of sort.
I had a simple dual sim mobile with few features . then my son felt that I should use smart phones . with touch screens . with a lot of feature and super sensitive . his logic was the kind of mob I use now will get outdated. if I do not use modern ones , I will not be able to communicate when I am older . After a few miserable attempts , I closed it and went back to old mob. My wife who is tech savvy has taken to it pretty well
