Seven months after a gas pricing plan was cleared by the Union cabinet, Arvind Kejriwal has asked his state anti-corruption arm to register a first information report (FIR) against Veerappa Moily, Murli Deora, Reliance Industries and its chairman, Mukesh Ambani, among others. It's an act of political expediency. Given recent incidents of hate crimes in Delhi and an uncertain power and water situation, Kejriwal should focus on solving problems at home. Subsequently, if he has any novel ideas on pricing natural resources, he could share it with people.

It is important that the current transition to an eventual market-determined price continue. In the absence of such a transition, India will find it difficult to attract global companies to explore blocks. Kejriwal's gambit, which has to do with launching Aam Aadmi Party on a national platform, should not be allowed to stall this process. A market-determined price is the best possible signal for both producers and consumers. Those who stand in the way are not helping aam admi in any way. If a series of administered prices fixed by government officials could work well the Soviet Union — also officially established in the name of aam admi — would still exist.

Do you know there was one gentlemanly minister of petroleum Jaipal reddy who refused to play ball with reliance demands and was eased out and replaced with V Moily .KG-6 basin is the biggest find of ONGC. there have been sharp business practices such as lowering deliberately the gas output to get better pricing and increasing the costs of extraction of gas from the basin. suggesting market pricing in a control economy after committing to a lower price in the contract should invite penalty and termination of contract instead of reward. instead a committee of sorts recommends a price of 8 dollars with a perverse comment that it will benefit ongc and other govt exploration companies. the complaint was made by respected figures ex cabinet secretary TSR subramaniam,Admiral Tahliani and two others including a reputed lawyer/solicitor who cannot be ignored. why your poor should pay market price for petrol, kerosene and gas they consume.we do not pay them the wages pertaining in free market economies of atleast 9 dollars per hour. even the middle class cannot afford . why blame the AAP.?

Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad on Thursday said that Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will resign soon.

"People say despite Indian National Congress support AAP government will be in minority soon due to revolt by few AAP MLAs, to hide this Kejriwal will resign soon," Shakeel Ahmad, who is Congress general secretary, said in a tweet.

AAP legislator from Laxmi Nagar, Vinod Kumar Binny has already been expelled from the party as he accused his party government of not fulfilling poll promises.
