Dark is also beautiful

I think may the best campaign should be "Any color is beautiful" cos good looks can be found in anyone ranging from Scandinavian fair to Central African Dark and any other shade in between.

Nandita is amazingly articulate and eloquent. Unfortunately her message may be lost on the less read masses. She should say it in Hindi as well and all regional languages.

all girls or womenas well men will be looking beautiful if all organs are in correct proportion.mainly the face will form the basis for attraction, the face will reflect their mind.

The human mind wants to see results.

People do anything to look different.

Note: Different might not necessarily be the best solution.

People want to lose weight..those who have curly hair straighten their hair..those with straight hair curl their hair.

Those who are fair want to be tan(in the west). Those who are dark want to be fair.

Some change hair color..some wear colored contact lenses..etc and some venture into cosmetic surgery.

So frankly speaking everything boils down to desire.

But whatever said and done a confident person beautiful or not wins hands down.

One book on Statistics started with the assertion that you are not wrong when you tell your wife "you are one in a million (now, may be billion)". The cumulative probability of variations in height, weight, complexion, eye-hair-skin colour and and a host of parameters will surely lead to this conclusion. Conviction is an entirely different matter.

dear sir !
rightly said. what is beautiful for someone may not be beautiful for some one else,
the following comes to my mind
காக்கைக்கும் தன் குஞ்சு பொன் குஞ்சு வயசில் கழுதையும் அழகு

I thought Renu will post this song! :typing:

Karupputhaan Ennaku Pudicha kalaru

You see RR ji..Tamil movies are color biased....guys can be dark but girls have to be fair.

So there is no song praising any dark girl.

I was seeing the Face model search and admiring the looks of Naomi Campbell.

She is 43 years of age and still has a stunning figure and looks like some African Princess.

She is totally hot and beautiful.

Watch Nandita Das talk about the stereotypes of fair skin in India, as she supports the campaign 'Dark is Beautiful.

Dear Sir,

I am quite surprised to see the heading " dark is also beautiful" as if white/fair is automatically beautiful!

Dark is beautiful..... in fact, only dark is pretty! ( my own daughter is dark skinned, very pretty. She got my skin colour and mother's looks).

In my opinion, there are more good girls in the dark skin category. ( my wife is dark skinned too).

Here is a song for the dark skinned ( the girl in the song is not dark skinned though... ).

The punch line of this movie:

'Women forget their worth and how remarkable they truly are!'

Is it because of their better (bitter?) halves????

P.S: I have seen a few women whose character is similar to 'Vadivukkarasi' in the movie 'Mudhal mariyAdhai'! :pound:

I was told Vadivukkarasi had a successful corporate career.
