Death rituals, karyams

Normally 9 to 12, 13 days are done at Home only.
As I am not an expert in sastram. However performing last rites on the respective days are preferred than postponing them.

If the house is individual and own house it is good to perform at home only. Nowadays as people live in apartments or even in individual houses if it is rented some owners object to do and hence the practice of doing at mutts started.

Even in this lock down periods some mutts in Chennai agreeing to do only rituals with very limited members and food has to be arranged at home. You may try /enquire in the mutts too.

If house is own house, the best is to perform in the House ( For our Mother, we performed all thirteen days rituals at home). Do on the dates, do not club them and do afterwards. Retrict no. of persons and follow all precautionary steps.

Everything changes with time and environment So are procedures.
We can adapt to this and do the best to our available resources. We cannot expect to do these things in shared living (apartments). If you have an independent house with compound you can comfortably carry out all days in a house.
சிரத்தை is the most importance .
