Does a Mahapralaya(Great Dissolution) actually take place in a literal sense?
I sort of find it hard to imagine why would there be a total self destruct mode for creation..what is the need for this?
I do agree that generation, organization and dissolution does take place on small to medium scale on daily basis but doesnt the idea of grand scale dissolution seem wasteful in terms of energy and resources.
Some might say that its Cosmic Recycling and nothing goes to waste cos everything goes back into its unmanifested form but what about the energy expenditure in a Mahapralaya?
The next question is after a Dissolution and when the next cycle of creation begins..where do we begin? Back to cavemen days again or back to the future?
So do we really end everything as in "this tape will self destruct in 5 seconds" style or is a Mahapralaya actually a Mission Impossible made to believe that its actually possible?
