Google Glass seems like a pretty cool concept on the outside, but it has been met with a huge backlash due to privacy concerns and the fact that Google Glass doesn’t look all that good, aesthetically speaking.
This is why when Google decided to scrap the Explorer Program, it was proclaimed that the Glass Project is dead. But Eric Schmidt clarified to the Wall Street Journal that Glass isn’t dead and that by scrapping the Explorer Program, Google has more time to work on Glass.
Google is just developing Glass further and is trying to fix what is currently wrong with Glass, and will probably release it later, when the public is more accustomed to the idea of having an always on camera in front of your face.
