Forget each kindness that you do
as soon as you have done it.
Forget the praise that falls to you
the moment you have won it.
Forget each slight, each spite, each sheer,
wherever you may meet it.
Forget the slander that you hear
before you can repeat it.

Remember every kindness done
to you, whatever its measure;
Remember praise by others won
and pass it don with pleasure.
Remember every promise made
and keep it to the letter.
Remember those who lend you aid
and be a grateful debtor.

Dear Shri Prasad,

Like many other, the above post was also noted down by me sometime during the
years 1975 to 1977 from certain journals/magazines. However, the author's name
was omitted to be written at that time and hence, I am unable to mention his/her
name however much I would like to do.

Thanks for your suggestion and liking the post.
