French imams condemned violence committed in the name of Islam during Friday prayers as the country reeled from the double hostage dramas that followed the massacre at Charlie Hebdo magazine. The same message -- distancing the country's five million Muslims from the jihadists responsible for the attacks -- was relayed at more than 2,300 mosques across France. "We denounce the odious crimes committed by the terrorists, whose criminal action endangers our willingness to live together," said the rector of the Grand Mosque of Paris, Dalil Boubakeur.
He also appealed to "all the Muslims of France" to take part in demonstrations planned for Sunday to pay homage to the 12 victims of the attack on Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday, the bloodiest in France in more than half a century. In local mosques across the country, imams condemned the jihadists who claimed they were avenging the Prophet Mohammed by shooting dead some of France's best-known cartoonists at the satirical weekly. Charlie Hebdo had angered many Muslims by repeatedly publishing cartoons that featured the Prophet as it lampooned Islamist extremists.

"The people who carried out that attack in the name of Islam are not Muslims... The Prophet did not advocate violence against non-Muslims," Abdel Qader Achour, of the conservative Omar Ibn Al Khattab mosque not far from Charlie Hebdo's offices, insisted. "France is our country, we have been here for three or even four generations, and we should not be afraid," he said as around one thousand of the faithful gathered to pray. "To a cartoon you reply with a cartoon, to a drawing with a drawing, to a newspaper article with a newspaper article... But you don't reply with guns," said Mustafa Riad of the Union mosque in the southern city of Montpellier. Muslim theologian Tareq Oubrou, an imam in Bordeaux, in the southwest, said Muslims were furious that their religion had been "confiscated by crazies... and uneducated, unbalanced people".

"I am afraid that their acts will get worse in the coming days," said Abdallah Zekr, the president of the French Muslim Council (CFCM), which monitors Islamophobic attacks. "Muslims are caught in a trap, between those who kill in the name of Islam and those who are using this to stigmatise Muslims," he said. Up to 390 French jihadists are thought to be fighting in Syria, according to the latest estimates, and around 60 have died fighting with extremist groups there. Muslim Amine Guellil, a 47-year-old estate agent, said: "A good Muslim would never shoot anyone, those who do that cannot be Muslims." Two of the victims of the Charlie Hebdo massacre were Muslims, with policeman Ahmed Merabet shot in cold blood as he tried to stop the terrorists fleeing the seen, he said. "There are several million Muslims in France, and the vast majority are integrated into French society," said Claude Dargent, a professor at Sciences Po university in Paris. "And for those who aren't, it's less a question of religion than their social and economic situation."
The rile against Muslim will alienate the all the Muslims, and zehadist would win.
The entire humanity must unite against these terrorists and condemn them, but must know that majority of Muslims are peace loving human beings.

This imam must be a loner. We must listen to what thevisreli prime minister and Rupert Murdoch said. Selectively pacific pseudo seculars do not condemn such murders and violence in India, Europe and Africa, do not matter, because all sane persons know the dangers of the mindset and are awake.
Pew survey says that in the major European countries, more than 50% of the population is against Islam and Muslims.

You have islamophobia.
Islamophobia is a term for prejudice against, hatred towards, or fear of the religion of Islam, Muslims, or of ethnic groups perceived to be Muslim. While the term is widely recognized and used, both the term and the underlying concept have been criticized.
Some scholars have defined it as a type of racism, the causes and characteristics of Islamophobia are still debated.

I have advised you on number of occasions to ignore my post.

Canadian PM has said the world must prepare itself to face third world war by jihadis. Sure more sane world leaders will raise their voice first to protect their country and save world order. It is the duty of every world citizen to expose jihadi violence and passive supporters of such violence.

Ha ha ha! No wonder, fatwa culture is seeping out.
You have islamophobia.

You do not care that you are a guest in Praveenji's site and you are insulting him by your personal hatred of a group. Then again you have never learned the word respect. You are a hate monger and have brought this site down by your presence. I have advised you on number of occasions to ignore my post.

Sad about the reaction in Afghanistan! When will they learn?

Afghanistan rally hails Charlie Hebdo attackers as 'heroes' - Israel News, Ynetnews

Hundreds in southern Afghanistan rallied to praise the killing of 12 people at the French newspaper Charlie Hebdo, calling the two gunmen "heroes" who meted out punishment for cartoons disrespectful to Islam's prophet, officials said Saturday.
The demonstrators also protested President Ashraf Ghani's swift condemnation of the bloody attack on the satirical newspaper, according to the officials in Uruzgan province.
The rally came after worshippers left Friday prayers at a local mosque in Chora district and swelled to several hundred people, said Chora police chief Abdul Qawi.
"The protesters were calling the attackers heroes and were shouting that those who had mocked the Prophet Mohammad were punished," Qawi said.

Boko haram victims, 2000 (actual count only killers will know, the dead can't speak for themselves), get no coverage or sympathy.

Hundreds of thousands of French citizens will be joined by dozens of foreign leaders, among them Arab and Muslim representatives, in a march in Paris on Sunday in honor of the victims of this week's Islamist militant attacks.

The march, which is to start at 3 p.m. (9.00 a.m. EST) and be made in silence, will be a show of solidarity and also reflect the profound shock felt in France and across the world over the worst Islamist assault on a European city in nine years.

This I have to agree..no one has any sympathy for Africans..no one cares when they die or suffer.

Calling for zero tolerance on terrorism,Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the time has come for all humanitarian forces to join hands to end the menace.
In his remarks at the CEO Conclave this evening, being held as a part the three-day the Vibrant Gujarat Summit here, Modi said terrorism is a threat to the humanity.
"...the time has come for all humanitarian forces to join together to resolve the problem of terrorism," he said.
His comments came on a day when more than 40 world leaders marched through Paris to rally for unity and freedom of expression and to honour 17 victims of three days of terrorist attacks, including on satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo's office.

All BJP mouthpieces should listen to Modiji and stop this Islamophobia.

I was reading in certain news websites that various 'sleeper cells' in France and other places are activated. Hard to know who is in charge and how sleeper cells of terrorists are activated to act.

Who denies? Terrorism is threat to humanity. Who are the terrorists. What is their agenda, and persuasion? What do they shout when attacking and killing? Make a list of about 100 terror attacks in any calendar year and see who is responsible, who has done it and what is the claim made? Ostrich cartoon is the right one to describe the deliberately unobservant.

Modi has vowed to wipe out terrorism and he will do it, and people who elected him have faith in him.

This is what Francois Gautier has written:

"The French President, Francois Hollande @President_Fr, says that #CharlieHebdo attacks have nothing to do with #Islam. French National TV, @France2tv, which covered live the drama for two days, never used the word #Muslim once. Neither did @CNN, which from a bold TV channel, that dared to call a spade a spade, has now become politically correct. All kind of political commentators and columnists have taken care to say that there is no clash of civilization between @Islam and the democratic world."

"The Media and the politicians keep saying that Islamic terrorism is only perpetrated by a few ‘fanatics’ and that the majority of #Muslims are ‘peaceful’. What will it take so that the world opens its eyes and acknowledges that a real war is going on? In the last year we have seen the ruthless killing of westerners in the Algerian gas filed, the bombing of the Westgate mall in Kenya, the Boko Haram abduction and rape of 500 Nigerian girls, or the massacre of an entire village of 2000 people, the medieval beheadings of western journalists in Syria or the killings of the Peshawar school boys, to mention only a few. Now the horror of #CharlieHebdo. Why is the world refusing to see the truth?"

"we excuse suicide bombings in Israel or in Mumbai which kill thousands of innocents, in the name of the ‘persecution’ of Palestinians, Chechens and Kashmiris; but accuse of the worst crimes someone who has never murdered anyone, or even advocated hatred, but simply wrote about the reality he found on the ground with his own eyes, during twenty years of reporting."

"All the so-called peace marches in France will see westerners mixing with Muslims (but the French has excluded the Front National of Marine Le Pen). This has no value. What we would like to see are Muslims coming down MASSIVELY TOGETHER in the streets and dissociating themselves from radical Islam. What we would like to see are Imams pledging to REFORM THE #KORAN and remove the passages that speak against the Infidels and advocate violence."

Ha ha ha! No wonder, fatwa culture is seeping out.

For the ignorant the word fatwa means:

We might compare a fatwā to the legal ruling of a high court or the Supreme Court, depending on the authority of the mufti behind it. However, a fatwā is not binding as is the verdict of the secular courts; while correct and applicable to all members of the Muslim faith, the fatwā is optional for the individual to respect or not.

Advice means:
Opinion about what could or should be done about a situation or problem; counsel.

Mine was an advice and not a fatwa. LOL
