Goundamani’s next as hero

We all know Goundamani is doing a full-fledged comedy film as hero in 49-O; the shoot is over and post-production is almost complete as well. The comic actor has now signed another film as hero. The project, Enakku Veru Yengum Kilaigal Kidaiyathu, will be directed by Ganapathy Balamurugan.

Goundamani will play the role of a person who owns many caravans, lent for film shoots. His journey from Chennai to Madurai has been told light-heartedly in this film.

I like Goundamani...his dialogue is superb.

Its hard hitting sarcastic and direct to the point and not slap stick comedy.

Most comedians before him were very slapstick.

Thank Goodness now the slapstick era is over.

In the black and white days..comedy was all about making faces and falling down and nothing really funny to start with.

Vadivelu is the best as on date. Goundamani's body language is predictable, repetitive and boring. Without Senthil he is just less than zero.Senthil made him tolerable as a comedian. You have seen one movie of Goundamani and senthil together. You have seen all of them.

Vadivelu is great. His body language is ever fresh. It changes from movie to movie. He is great in his comedies. This moment he can be a pompous conceited "hero"- a Dubai returned wearing his coloured Kurta and going about the village along with his side kick bragging about his days in Dubai and the next moment he can be the Tenaliraman on the floor kicking and pumping into the air demanding that the elephant be put into the pot. He can be the comedian adding visual treat to the picturisation of that immortal song "varaha nathikkarai oram....." and his comedies just merge with the main stories so well you never feel the Madurai Puyal has ever blown at all.

Goundamani, to a large extent still relies on slap stick of a different kind-chasing and beating up Senthil. But Vadivelu never indulges in such cleverly concealed slapstick. May be Goundamani is not doing the slapstick in the traditional style jumping on the floor after eating a frog by mistake, but it is still slapstick alright.so vadivelu Zindabad!!

I hate slapstick comedy! Slapstick Murdabad!LOL

BTW I like Vivek...his jokes are great and also hard hitting.

Santhanam is also good.

They rely on dialogue more than action.

But there is one actor named Shiva Sundram known for deadpan type of humor in his movies like Va Quarter Cutting, Thamizh Padam. He totally rocks!

He also looks kind of Amul Baby cutie types.
