Another college admission season on in various states in india
lakhs of students from various state boards are jostling for amission to engg,medical and colleges offering science and humanities.
engg is losing its charm . Many colleges in tamil nadu/andhra are not finfding students. only top notch ones are finding takers. medical craze continues.
many prefer to go for Bcom , economics and some cchase science courses.
IIMs have opened the door more for non engineers . that explains the shift in preferences of students.
An interesting observation which will make tamil nadu state board students very happy.
Delhi university -a central univ is admitting students from all over india based on the state board marks without normalisation.
For Students from Tamilnadu/andhra it is a Godsend.
Many are getting admitted to prestigeous courses like BCom [hons] in SRCC[sriram college of commerce] based on state board marks. CBSE students are
finding it difficult to get in,Gainers are these south indian states. Quite a few tamilnadu students found their names in selected list.
No admission test. Only marksheet and small money ,lo you get admission.
In delhi univ admission fees are nominal -a few hundreds/thousands.
Top companies pick up these students from SRCC offering them lakhs of compensation in campus interviews.
It is not late . Any TBs with relations in delhi can move in and collect seats.
Only the first list is published.
would anyone try it.?
About a decade back I got my children admitted to guindy engg college on north zone quota without difficulty .
Now it is the reverse.
