Heart-touching Images That Will Bring Tears To Your Eyes
A single picture speaks a thousand words. These photos that I have listed here have a lot to say.
As I mentioned in the headline, they will make you cry.
#1 - Man's Best Friend
Even during the worst of times, true friendship will find a way, as evidenced by this touching photograph of a homeless man and his beloved pet.
According to Animal Planet, having a dog in your life can help fight feelings of depression and loneliness, giving purpose to the owner's life.
#2 - Sacrifice At Its Greatest
"For those I love, I will sacrifice," reads a tattoo inked upon an injured soldier's rib cage. This image, though hard to stomach, depicts everything you need to know about life in the military. These brave men and women give everything they have to give so that those they love are never without.
#3 - Til Death Do Us Part
Sacrifice doesn't just come from those who serve, but also by those who are left behind. Photographer John Moore captured a heartbreaking moment as Mary McHugh lay crying on her recently deceased fiance's resting place at the Arlington National Cemetery. This was McHugh's first visit to the grave since his passing.
#4 - Helping Hand
A missionary lends a helping hand to those in need in this gut-wrenching photograph. Here, you see a starving young boy clearly putting his faith, his trust, and his life in the hands of a stranger. Starvation in third world countries is often overlooked but is a very serious threat to humanity.
#5 - Even Animals Need A Little Help
When Mother Nature attacks, all of her creatures could use a little help. During the 2011 floods in Cuttack City, India, this man made headlines by risking his life to save a litter of kittens in need by carrying them to safety in a basket he balanced on his head.
#6 - Heartbreak In The Wreckage
You can see the pain written on this young woman's face as she sits amongst the wreckage of her former home. This photograph was taken just after a massive earthquake and tsunami devastated the town of Natori in northern Japan back in 2011, leaving thousands homeless, injured, or dead.
#7 - A Mother's Love
This photograph clearly shows the love between a mother and her child. Taken just after this young mother met the child she had carried for nine months, it shows the love, joy, and excitement overcoming the pain she just experienced. Childbirth may be painful, but it is worth every agonizing moment.
#8 - Love Until The End
In this heartbreaking photograph, a couple holds onto each other until their very last moments. Taken after a factory collapsed in Bangladesh, this image proves that even in death, love wins.
The fatal accident took the lives of over 900 people, injuring at least another 2,500 in May of 2013.
#9 - We All Live Here Together
Sam the Koala became an internet sensation after photographs of a firefighter giving him water surfaced during the Victoria bushfires of 2009. The devastating fire claimed the lives of 175 people and left 7,500 more homeless. Sam's photo fame shined a light on the other victims of the fire, the local wildlife.
