Hindu Festivals Calendar 2013 in G D!

What kind of discussion do you expect Sir?
You do make a good point, and thank you.
My name on a thread should make it a discussion topic.
I did think about putting it on some other forum groups, but I knew that my dates are just borrowed, and will be challenged.
So I chose G D, does it make sense? LOL

My festival dates is for purely social purpose only.

The festival dates are not the same in India and U.S. You have to verify the Thidhi with the local Punchangam.

For example.

FEB 2013 10 Sunday Mauni Amavasya in Chennai

But Amavasya falls on February 9th in New York.

This site may be helpful.

Dear Sri Sankara Sharma,

When pooja is performed in countries outside India, do they still mention 'Bharatha Varshe, Bharadha Gante' when performing avahanam, visarjanam etc?

If yes, how is it relevant outside India?

Regards,
Acharya

A click on 'panchangam' in the above page will give monthly panchangam for any year in any place on the globe.

P. S: It is a real WOW site. I found the correct birth star of our grand daughter only form this site.

I checked the website sankara_sharmah provided ( before he edited out his post), for amavasyadate and time for Los Angeles. Do you notice the funny numbers for sunrise and sunset?
If yousubmit the following URL with Los Angeles (go to bottom of the web page) you will get the above result!
