A Hindu Mahasabha functionary on Tuesday stirred a controversy by appealing to Hindu youths to marry girls from other faiths as a counter to 'Love Jihad'.

Addressing a meeting of followers, working president of the Haryana unit of the Hindu Mahasabha, Dharmapal Siwach said the 'Bahu Laao Beti Bachaao (Bring Daughters-in-law, Save Daughters)' campaign would be launched from February. He said the campaign aims to fight against 'Love Jihad', and Hindu youths will be asked to marry and bring girls from other religions like Islam, Christianity and others.

"We will ensure the dignity of the girls of other religions in the campaign. We will bind them in the bond of marriage and help such couples," he said. The campaign will not only be carried out in Haryana, but also throughout the country, he said.

He urged Hindu youths to bring in more people to the Hindu Mahasabha to strengthen the outfit.

RSS rising: The Sangh is coming to your doorstep

This article in hindustan times is an eye opener.

The Sangh official drew a lesson from the episode. "Even if you write critically, by highlighting the issue, society gets polarised and one section gets increasingly drawn to us."

Parties and media must learn not to appease some sections of society and act against majority interests. Everyday the media with its biased reporting is getting exposed, its lies are laid bare and what it expects does not happen. This is also a lesson for the compulsive posters too who search and dig reports from media to show hindus in bad light. Pity on them.
