Hindu Way Of Urinating Is The Best, Sanatan Sanstha Says

25/09/2015

The Goa-based Sanatan Sanstha, whose members have been accused of killing Communist leader Govind Pansare in February, has a lot of personal grooming advice for its followers.

Apart from hairstyle and the right hair oil, the Sanstha has spiritual advice on bathing, urinating, defecating, fashion and washing clothes.

An article on its website says the Hindu way of urinating and defecating is the healthiest way. It cites a French scientist as having come to the conclusion, though the scientist is not named. The article appears in a section titled Daily Ablutions.

The standing posture for urinating is a bad one, it says, because it “causes a flow of accumulated Raja-Tama predominant energy towards the feet. As the negative energy gets concentrated there, the distressing vibrations emitting from Patal (Hell region) can very quickly enter the body through the feet.” It also “activates the flow of black energy associated with the ground, charging the entire body of the individual with Raja-Tama components.” This is from the Sanstha’s Holy Text 'Daily Conduct and the science underlying its Acts'.

Toilet paper is not sattvik

It goes on to explain why washing with water is better than toilet paper after defecation. “Toilet paper is not sattvik. Besides, it is associated with the Pruthvitattva. Hence, if used after defecation, it is incapable of destroying the Raja-Tama particles in the faeces associated with the Pruthvitattva.”

Hindu clothes only

The Sanatan Sanstha seeks to apply spiritual reasoning to mundane life activities. The reason why we need to wear clothes, according to them, is not only to protect us from the weather. “Wearing clothes amounts to taking the support of Maya to attain a level of Brahman-realized state,” says another article on their website.

We must only wear clothes that are prescribed by the Hindu Dharma. The Sanstha says, “Clothes worn by men and women as prescribed in Hindu Dharma are designed by Deities and are those that manifest the Shiva and Shakti Principles. The clothes of women, meaning the sari (A traditional attire of Bharatiya women), awaken the Shakti Principle and the clothes of men activate the Shiva Principle… It also conserves our spiritual energy.” This particular advice comes from “An Unknown Energy (Through the medium of Ms. Ranjana Gawas).”

They say that wearing kurta-pyjama “generates an elliptical (similar to the flame of a lamp) protective sheath around the body” but it is “more sattvik” to wear “Sovale (A clean, washed, silk or cotton dhoti to be worn during puja [Ritualistic worship]).” The protective shield that a sovale generates around the body is spherical.

There is a whole chart on the ability of different types of dress to “imbibe and emit sattvikta”. The maximum capacity to do so is in nine-yard sari or dhoti. Dupatta can also imbibe and emit sattvikta, but more it when worn on both shoulders rather than just one shoulder. This piece of knowledge comes from “God (Through the medium of Ms. Madhura Bhosale.”

The spiritual reasons for washing clothes

There is spiritual logic to washing clothes. The Sanstha has a full article on wearing washed and unwashed clothes. It says, “In case of washed used clothes there is sweating due to the Tej waves arising from the cloth. An unwashed used garment will give an experience of heat in the body due to gross appearing sagun. A higher proportion of dirt in unwashed clothes causes greater hindrance to the flow of sattvikwaves that are attracted towards it and as a result, the extent of black covering on it is higher.”

Silk is better than cotton, but the best is “valkal (Clothes made from the bark of a tree)”. The advice comes from “A Scholar” through “the medium of Mrs Anjali Gadgil”. It reads, “Looking at the capacity of the valkals to thwart negative energies and to emit Chaitanya, it only shows how complete the action of wearing of valkals (by the Sages and Sages) was from a spiritual perspective. This also shows the competence of Saints and Sages as well as the supremacy of the Hindu Dharma.”

Marriage with religious rituals makes your face glow

The Sanatan Sanstha says that a registered marriage is “meaningless from a spiritual perspective”. A marriage with religious ceremonies can make you look better. An article on this shows before and after marriage pictures of one Mrs Ranjana Gadekar, whose face clearly looks more radiant a week after marriage with religious rituals.

The article explains, “Religious rituals performed while performing a marriage as per the scriptures and recitation of mantras enhance the sattvikta of the body of the bride and the groom. Distressing Raja-Tama vibrations in their bodies decrease, making their bodies radiant.”

Cross-legged bathing

The Sanatan Sanstha says that for spiritual reasons, one should not bathe in the nude. Keep your undergarments on while bathing. Also, sit in a cross-legged posture while bathing. Bathe from head to toe, chant sholkas, use a brass tumbler to pour water over your head. Clean all the nine orifices of the body.

“When sitting in a cross-legged posture, the body shape becomes triangular, thus it becoming possible for a protective sheath to be easily generated during a bath,” it says.

The best place ti urinate is at the tree nearby -watering its roots.

Second choice is 5 feet around public toilets as it is difficult to get into toilets with blocked pots and bad smell.

These are the normally accepted practices in all metros.

This is commonly practised by men of all castes and religions

Goa government (BJP) helps this Sanstha financially. So, if a CONGRESS MUKT BHARATH with the hindutwa forces havving the upper hand comes true, we may be told many such things, including very private matters!

whether goa govt helps sanstha is debatable (proof or reference is welcome) kerala govt supports muslim and christian organizations financially, monetarily, reservation in jobs and criminals who killed! Before making generalizations draw a table of activism and murders spread over say past 20 years. Too much to ask!

There are guidelines for brahmins too how, when and where to do the 'kalaikadan' to suit the lifestyle of the day!

Out here no one dares urinate at a tree becos of local belief that some trees have guardian spirits and by urinating we anger the spirit which could have harmful consequences.

Ha Ha Ha!

All you guys have been pissing "wrongly"!

Can't stop laughing.

Jokes aside..but a male has a long urethra..it wont be comfortable to urinate sitting down.

If we observe the animal kingdom for example a dog..only puppies urinate sitting down...once a male puppy becomes an adult dog he starts to stand and lift one leg and urinate.

Since the article here says .The standing posture for urinating is a bad one, it says, because it “causes a flow of accumulated Raja-Tama predominant energy towards the feet...so may be guys can try urinating lifting one leg so that less Raja-Tamas and less current from Patala Loka since only one foot is on the ground! ha ha ha

OP is about how to Urinate NOT ABOUT WHERE TO URINATE

(Many Hindus normally sit and urinate in village side etc)

Why this fascination with urination in India, and Indians?
Why do have to justify what we do in the privacy of our home?
Why do we have claim superiority in everything we do?
Why this fascination with putting others down?
Why is it important to disparage others? In this case the women, and non-Indian males.
Is it Hindu Way or Indian way? I have seen Muslims doing it that way too. So factually this piece is wrong.
The poster is just not bothered about the people who are reading this post, it is totally callous. In your rush to claim your superiority (even in the matter of bodily function) you PJji insult your audience.
There are people who can not kneel down, due to age or other ailments. They have a legitimate reason to do it differently. Why must you rub their nose in dirt, and humiliate them. A little bit of thought before posting would be nice and civilized.

[h=1]Like SIMI, ban Sanatan Sanstha for 'creating terror', says Goa BJP MLA[/h]A BJP MLA on Tuesday sought a ban on Sanatan Sanstha, whose member was arrested in connection with the murder of Left leader Govind Pansare, for "creating terror" like Students and Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).

Sanatan Sanstha, headquartered at Ramnathi Ashram in North Goa district, is under the scanner since the arrest of Sameer Gaikwad in connection with Pansare's killing earlier this year and the alleged role of absconding member Rudra Patil in the 2009 Madgaon blast.

"Violence is not an answer to ideological differences. These things are being done to create terror. I feel that like SIMI, 'Sanatan Sanstha' should also be banned," Vishnu Wagh, a prominent BJP leader who represents St Andre constituency, said here.

Why an organization with that kind of reputation be used as basis of a post.

I question the journalist integrity of the poster in using such dubious material and source.[h=1][/h]

It is also found that Indian way of doing #2 job is the best! :first:

Naina Sir posted a thread, long back, about the squatting posture that most of the Indians follow. :)

Here is the reminder:

Dear Prasad Sir,

We like to take pride in whatever we do! :thumb:

Many Indian males use the public roads as public toilets to stink the country, whether they do it sitting or standing!! :yuck:

When my son was a kid, he used to name 'those' guys on the roads as, 'JagannAththam', 'ViswanAththam' and 'UlaganAththam'!!

I know one or two aged males with enlarged prostrate. They just cannot urinate squatting. Doctor has advised them to pee standing and also cautioned that the squatting position may end up in sudden rupture of the bladder and... THE END!

I think the best course would have been to ignore this OP.

Here is a paper Urinating Standing versus Sitting: Position Is of Influence in Men with Prostate Enlargement. A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

published in Plos 1
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4106761/

From the abstrract
Abstract

Background

It is suggested that the body posture during urination can influence urodynamic parameters in patients with Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) to an extent approaching pharmacological interventions. In this article, the influence of body position during micturition on maximum urinary flow rate (Qmax), voiding time (TQ) and post-void residual volume (PVR) in healthy males and patients with LUTS is analyzed by means of a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Evidence Acquisition

A systematic search was conducted in 14 medical databases. Studies comparing urodynamic parameters in standing versus sitting position were eligible for inclusion. Studies were stratified according to health status of included male participants: healthy individuals and patients with LUTS. Standardized mean differences for Qmax, TQ and PVR were pooled in a random effects model.

Results

Eleven articles were included. In men with LUTS, a significantly lower PVR (−24.96 ml; 95%CI −48.70 to −1.23) was shown in sitting position compared to standing. In accordance, Qmax was increased (1.23 ml/s; 95%CI −1.02 to 3.48), and TQ was decreased (−0.62 s; 95%CI −1.66 to 0.42) in sitting position, although these differences did not reach statistical significance. In healthy men, Qmax (0.18 ml/s; 95% CI −1.67 to 2.02), TQ (0.49 s; 95%CI −3.30 to 4.27) and PVR (0.43 ml; 95%CI −0.79 to 1,65) were similar in sitting and standing position.

Conclusion

For healthy men, no difference is found in any of the urodynamic parameters. In patients with LUTS, the sitting position is linked with an improved urodynamic profile.
