When radio or television works, one glance at them but in parallel busy in other activities.. if no sound or picture comes from it.. he has to to spend more time thinking what went wrong... similarly if only radio or TV runs irrespective of what comes out.. it will be entertaining or acceptable :-)
 
A silent wife is dangerous because her hubby will NOT know what runs in her mind!

She might be :rant: -ing, without uttering one word! :D
 
most men are afraid of silent wives.

most end up conceding every wish of silent wives as consequences can be disastrous .

but only if they would remain silent......
