I need 8 hours of sleep..Come what may..If I do not sleep properly or if there is some disturbance during sleeping, the next day is a waste as I am unable to do any productive work
As soon as I came out from my Engg, I joined manufacturing in Chennai where I had to work in shifts..From Day shift to night shift to mid night shift, it was really taxing..My biological clock went for a six..
When I moved to another Industry in the North, it was in General shift I really enjoyed it
Once I went to Egypt, I had a harrowing time attending meetings at 6 AM Cairo to suit Singapore, 10 AM Cairo to suit India and again go for mid night meetings for some client in US..It was a harrowing experience!
Even today, I cherish my sleep at home!!
Home!! Sweet Home!!

The next time you skip your sleep, remember you're doing great disservice to the most important part of your body.
Read on to find out how lack of sleep can have a disastrous effect on your brain.
A new study has revealed that shortage of sleep can rapidly reduce the size of people's brains.
Sleep has been proposed to be "the brain’s housekeeper", serving to repair and restore the brain.
Researchers found that 35 per cent of the people in the study met the criteria for poor sleep quality, scoring an average of 8.5 out of 21 points on the sleep assessment.
The assessment looked at how long people slept, how long it took them to fall asleep at night, use of sleeping medications, and other factors.
The study established that sleep difficulties were linked with a more rapid decline in brain volume over the course of the study in widespread brain regions, including within frontal, temporal and parietal areas.
The results were more pronounced in people over 60 years old.
The study is published in the online issue of Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
