ICMR random tests show no community spread, WHO praises Govt

The ICMR had picked 1,020 random samples of people with severe acute respiratory illness pneumonia and influenza-like symptoms for testing for Covid-19.

There is no community spread of Covid-19 in India. This is very encouraging news and once again is evidence of the outstanding and proactive intervention by the government so far in containing the contagion at stage 2. Rejoice but remain cautious. In the detailed speech he gave, Tamilnadu Health Minister Vijayabhaskar explained that at least 3 tests are conducted over a 3 week period before they declare the patient negative. He also explained that is the protocol set by the GoI health secretary is meticulously followed and tracked in daily reviews between central and state governments. So, hope India is following the right procedure here, Assuming also there is already community spread, then wouldn't more people be in hospital with severe symptoms. The first case was identified in Jan and it is mid march now, since the affected numbers aren't much, shouldn't it mean that there has been some form of containment. Even if there are more people affected with virus, maybe the resistance is better in India that it doesn't go to severe levels.Having done everything right so far, India cannot afford to fail in the last and crucial step

Dear Doctor,

I really appreciate every Corona Warrier viz Doctors and their team of Paramedical staff for their all out efforts in a war-foot in containing the COVID 19 despite imminent danger. Hope with such dedicated team of Health Experts and most co-operating citizen, we will be able to stop spreading of COVID 19.

But, we have few self-professed liberals in this Forum, who may not appreciate whatever the Government of India do, towards the betterment of Indian citizen who voted this Government to rule.

These self-proclaimed judges, come here just to pass only negative comment that this Government is inefficient, incompetent, incapable, etc etc and if you ask them to define or substantiate their comment, you won’t get any convincing counter.

When there is PMC Bank crisis, these dubious liberals, immediately shooted postings as though the heaven has fallen and everything collapsed and the Government has left the depositors on the street to beg, etc etc

Similarly, when there was YES Bank crisis, same repetition of ஒப்பாரி as though the Government has sold Banks to others for more profit, etc etc They abuse the Government and describe disastrous results will be called out, named and shamed in all social media platforms .etc

Now that the YES Bank saga is over in a very short period and Bank is back to fully functional.

This was what that happened about Rafale deal, when there was outcry ?? Only this self-professed liberal know as to whether the Chief Justice of India ordered a JPC on Rafale purchase. LOL

When there was Ayodhya issue, these fake torch bearers, delivered fire-brand speech.

Any idea, about this member’s highly ridiculous thread 'India - China war is imminent'???

Jumping the gun too early. We hope that we cross the critical Stage 2 and hopefully not get into stage 3 wher the spread is exponentional
