One sees many looking at personal bank accounts before they decide if they can afford to send their children abroad for higher education.
Most decide against it when they see the mind boggling numbers for education in US
I read an article today which says it need not be so.
It is only a matter of risk appetite one has .
For example, For doing an International MBA in top school in US costs 95 lakhs, some might opt for slightly B grade univ costing 65 lakhs with freeship, tuition fee waiver or
scholarship. The author says that top schools arrange for non collateralised loans from international banks without the applicant having to find an international
guarantor as they have interest in getting bright students instead of rich daddy category. With B grade colleges , the applicant has to struggle to raise money
offering collaterals ,begging for freeships,scholarships.
Moral of the story ,try for top school and they will help you borrow like hell . later one can find top class jobs and easily payback.
Any takers for this.?
