Dear Prasad Sir,

You are 100% correct. None in the world can beat us in such innovativeness. When the mobile revolution took place here, see what the big biz men did to call their drivers to the office front or hotel front or to their cabins? they gave a mobile to the drivers - no outgoing- only incoming allowed. Before they started from their cabins or rooms gave a missed call to the drivers.. Lo the driver was at the door waiting!!! Missed call concept must have broken the companies in India!!
While working in Hotel Industry, this happened. Our CO, CEO had gone overseas to scout for Minibar concept in every room-(in the 90's it was new concept). The German co proudly told that once the bottle is lifed from the bar automatically there will be a charge in his bill, and no one can cheat !! Our CEO aksed have all the possibilities have been checked to make it foolproof?. He was answered in solid terms that all sort of checking has been done and it is fool proof.
Our CEO asked suppose some one without lifting the mini bottles from the bar just unscrews the bottle and uses a straw to drink the liquor , how will he be charged?. The sales rep was zapped and thought can this way also people cheat?

Well he does not know about drinlkers from our country!! LOL

cheers.

Dear Manohar Sir,

Some Indians are very smart thieves! In the dollar shops I visited in Boston, I noticed this kind of theft. There is a bar code

which, when not checked, will beep and show that something which is not billed yet is going out of the shop. I found that many

zip-lock packets which were kept at the rear row of the store were opened and a few covers taken away! In the same way,

if four items were packed in a toilet kit, one or two were missing from each kit! What a way to steal without getting caught!!

In some super markets, nuts are kept in big jars with a dispenser. The buyers are supposed to fill up the plastic bag kept

nearby, measure and mark the weight of the nuts taken, tie it up and go for billing. The weight is not checked unless there is

some doubt. They trust people.
An Iyer mAmA was busy taking all the varieties of nuts in his hands and munching them! May

be he was not given a break fast at home!
I told my son that the weight of such persons should be checked while entering the

shop and leaving the shop to find out how many pounds of nuts they have eaten up to add in their bill....
