When we love someone we only see Love and nothing else.

After all King Shanatanu did not feel like he was an Ilicha Vaiyyan when he decided to marry Sathyavati very well knowing she had even delivered a baby (sage Vedavyasa) with her union with Parasara Muni.

He just wanted her badly even till the extent to give in to the demands of her father which finally let to  Bhisma giving up his right to the his rightful throne.

So guys..no where in Mahabharat was Shantanu called an Illicha Vaiyyan and dont think that there is a consolation in the story which goes that after Sathyavati delivered Veda Vyasa her virginity was restored..you see the act of sex and delivery happened..no one can deny that....so most probably she got some divine hymen repair done..so same way..if anyone want to restore their tissue they can do so surgically these days.
