Shri Rajaram,

Why do you think only south indian brahmins should learn (properly) and chant sri Rudram n Chamakam every day? Why not others also?

The Rudraprasna is essentially one that first expounds a rudra whose anger (manyu) is sought to be appeased through the prayers contained in the 11 anuvākas of the praśna. camakapraśna prays for a host of material benefits, most of which will be unwanted and unusable for anyone, including a brāhmaṇa, today. So, how can we be sure that "iha saukhyaṃ" will be achieved by following your advice?

My father who lived up to the ripe old age of 92, and was a born Tamil Brahmin, used to recite, daily rudraṃ and camakam and do the devapūja at home for many, many years. He was afflicted with dementia, paranoia etc., as he grew old. Plus he had to see some tragedies like his daughter becoming a widow. So, is there any confirmed guarantee or any "no loss return" for such advices? Is it not merely a case of your imagining that -

1. you have learnt rudram camakam properly,

2. you are chanting these two daily,

3. so far, things are not going bad for you and your family members,

4. so you think of advising others?
