Hello.  I am an Iyengar having roots in Andhra and Tamil Nadu.  My family speaks both languages. I have lived here all my life, so I am more comfortable just speaking in English, although I can understand both languages with ease.

For most of my life, I have had a fascination for Tamil culture and religion, most notably the teachings of the Alwars and Sri Ramanuja.

I look forward to making friends and exchanging ideas in this group.
