Hello Ms Subhalakshmi,

There are many, both in and out of Madras and India, who prefer the old name to Chennai. The logic given by those that favoured the change and the powers that be who effected the change, have not been 'powerful' enough to change the mind set of people like us. Except when I am specifically conscious of it, and the situation demands it, I tend to use only 'Madras' instead of 'Chennai' even after these many years.
