boy o boy, i did not think that HAM radio will still be popular in this age of internet, skype, googletalk and what not, where instant communication with the rest of the world is at your fingertips.

do they still make ham equipment or do you have to put one together yourself. i used to have a neighbour, in the early 1970s, who was a ham operator. he put the equipment together himself, from world war 2 british surplus equipment left behind at the time of independence and disposed of by indian army in bulk. :)


who are the types of folks who do ham these days? are there any young people joining the club?
