[h=1]Jatayu can be inspiration for men in order to respect women: PM[/h]February 23, 2015 21:36

Highlighting the issue of crime against women, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today took a leaf out of the epic Ramayana to drive home the point that demi-god Jatayu can be inspiration for men as he died for the honour of a woman.

He also said that time has come for India to realise the potential of "soft power" as an important tool of foreign relations.

Addressing a gathering at the inauguration of International Ramayana Mela, the PM said one feels hurt after going through news about atrocities against women.

"An unarmed Jatayu fought and was ready to lay down his for the honour of a woman (Sita who was being abducted by Ravana) without fear. Can't he be an inspiration for us," asked Modi. He said the story of Ramayana has a message at its core that remains relevant today, in this case, that of respect for women.

Truly good women would not want any male dying for them.

We should wish all males and females happy and long life.

There is no use having one hero and the rest are zeros.

So the best is for both males and females to respect each other.

Mutual respect is sufficient..no one needs to die for that.

I am sure any good hearted female would feel guilty if any male died for her.

I agree 100% with renuka ji. Women are abused by both men and women in the society. From childhood children should be taught to respect each other, which may help in general :)

WING POWER & WORD POWER

Yes I totally agree with the views of Renuka and Kama. Women are uncomfortable with these J ispired Men. Men should learn a lesson from Jatayu instead of being inspired! J over estimated his wing power along with his brother Sampati and tried to fly to the Surya Log where they would have been "Roasted" Sampati to save J spread his wings over J and lost his wing Powers Burnt! Later In Ramayana the wing Power of Jatayu was clipped by Ravanan !!

When Jatayu ispired men's over estimated words power is ( Knowledegable I have no time for the like of you, Bocardi Alcohol Mania! Learn more about that and come back to me Etc) seen Ravana Returns for sure! - to clip those word powers!! 57 inches brave hearts are hurt and get VRS ! They feel they should press Ignore Button and not the Panic Button to avoid futher clipping! May be they are expecting their brother to come into action "Suo Motto" like Sampati to save them!! and then can paint the town red singing "Segaputhaan Enaku Pudicha Kalaru!! Fun is no Sin even if it is 'Roast' !!
