Please clarify and through Horoscxope can we find Kula Deivam... if so please guide me to a good astrologer in Coimbatore....

Dear PG,

1. Your name suggests that you belong to Thiruppudaimaruthur (not the Tiruvidaimaruthur in Tanjore District) east of Aththalanallur on the banks of Tamraparanai river in Tirunelveli district. In all probability you may belong to the keeththu naamam clan of smarthas in Tirunelveli District. They usually have Tirupati Balaji as the kuladeivam.

2. The kuladeivam can be a God or Goddess.

3. If you go to an astrologer he will take you on a wild goose chase.

Is there a mix up or contradiction? The OT author should be informed. You can find out by Prasna Arudam, KiLLi jyotisham and continuing traditional family from the name of your ancestors. If none available, choose Lord Vishnu or His Excort.

We have discussed about this subject numerous times in the past.
Does it matter who your kula deivam is? If you do some research and analyse your motives you will find that any name is good enough. "Rose by any name smell the same".

Or you can pray to all or none at all.
If you are praying to a god for some material goods, you might be rewarded more by praying to "your neighborhood" goonda. Motives matter.

Shri Putarjunan,

Usually Putarjunan is a name given to people who have some geneological connection with Tiruppudaimaruthoor in Tirunelveli district. If your name has come down from your father's side for 7 generations, then it may be fairly accurate to accept the deity in that temple as your kuladeivam.

FYKI a distant relative of mine has this same name and his kuladeivam is this Tiruppudai Maruthoor deity.
