Laws that are made to be broken?

Certain laws are never respected. Indeed they are meant to be broken specially the ones relating to traffic rules. Riding 2 Wheelers without Helmet & Auto charges without meter. Both are punishable by law. Are they respected? If they cannot be implemented why enact them and keep it alive in statutory books? No Auto Rickshaw ride is charged according to the meter. Less than 5% of 2 wheeler drivers use Helmet. Why every one is insensitive both the public as well as enforcing authorities ? Jambu:shocked:

its all biz.helmet manufacturers gave bribe.some accidents also happened.so helmet was thot of.to prevent brain damage.but weather is so hot,cannot expect indians to wear helmets,its unbearable.auto meters are working,but the tariff is insufficient,for the lifestyle aspired by auto drivers fmly.to increase earnings,they resort to intimidation tactics.and behave arrogantly,as most of them get party patronage.naam ka vaastay they are auto drivers.

Certain laws are never respected. I think it includes in laws also.:clap2:
Regarding bribe we start from day one. We are bribed to take food,( by parents saying will give you choclate), bribed to get good marks,( will get you a cycle) and it continues till end of life.

The morale value given to life , I think, has taken a back seat.

Some years back parents were reluctent to give their daughters to person having `extra` /outside income.
But now a days they prefer saying he is smart enough to get extra income.

Then take off the these laws That is logic This is misused The police selectively use them to harass & take bribes Jambu:doh:

police also have families to take care off.therefore apply laws as and when the funds are depleted from the beat constable to chief inspector of police.the money goes all the way up to the ministry level,after all ministers have to live too affluently for thier status.its a vicious cycle,indians do it openly,unlike other nationalities,but USA is diff,as taking a bribe is below ones dignity at lowe levels,but the top is like India,imho.:happy:

Now I recall an act enacted long long ago by Congress before 1967 This is in tune with prevention of cruelty to animal efforts by which ஆடு கோழி போனறவற்றை கோவிலுக்குள் பலி இடுவது தடை சொய்யப்பட்டது But nobody implemented it in letter and spirit. When J started implementing it during her last tenure She had big Opposition & and even lost her popularity among her party members. She with drew the act itself! Even Congress which originally enacted this law was not supportive to her In fact Chidambaram justified this saying the animals are not killed for the pleasure like hunting It is their culture to offer meat to Gods citing கண்ணப்பர் and the dead animals flesh were not wasted , was shared among the Bhakthas cooked and eaten immediately in the temple itself. This is actually social responsibility! This issue was used politically against her. Except Maneka Gandhi non was interested to support this act and the best for J was to throw that law out of widow Jambu:mad2:

chiddu is right and J is wrong to interfere in religious beliefs.but quoting scriptures randomly by chiddu and other just to kill animals in the guise of propitation is not an Indian thingy to do.Scriptures have replaced animal sacrifices to cereals,grains,fruits,cooked prasadams ...all vegetarian menus only.so,J backed out like a chicken that she is from the fight.maneja is still an activist unlke J,whose moods are like 30 thithis plus her pms to bother about

yes. & as she is known to make enemies out of friends. All laws went in reverse gear.
our traffic police friends will be awake during the last week of every month for obvious reasons. & if you happen to have small ruling party flag in front of the vehicle, it is virtual knife through butter. no questions.

on serious note, helmet wearing is certainly a must considering the rash driving in the roads and great condition of the roads. But the speed with which it was implemented initially is not there now.

Another Law which is never implemented is Smoking in Public places specially in Trains and buses in long distance travels . Why there is parking in front of bars if drunkan driving is prohibited? Jambu:nod:

at the time of preparation of law itself we make loop holes . Say in the case of Income tax if it is strictly implemented Government could have got crores of rupees and they could have effectively controlled price raise.

Are you suggesting that laws are made deliberately Like that? Are crooks are more intelligent than the law makers to find loopholes ? Jambu:crazy:

Dear sir, the law at present in our country is YOU SHOW THE PERSON I WILL QUOTE THE LAW. lAW BENDS, STOOPS AND SOME TIMES CRAWLS IN THE PRESENCE OF POWER/MONEY/PLEASURE.
EVEN THE SOLDIERS WERE NOT SPARED AND BRIBARY WAS THERE EVEN IN THE PURCHASE OF COFFIN TO THEM. Scandals of crores of rupees were brought forward in front of society (especially at times of election/crisis inthe ministry/divert the attention from major social isues)and will go simply washed away. Whether it be State or Central all Leaders unite in fooling common man. ALL ARE ONE WITH EQUAL RIGHTS ONLY AT THE TIME OF CASTING OF THEIR VOTE
