Don't insult the judge: an 18-year-old learns the hard way

February 6, 2013 - At a bond hearing in Miami, Florida, an 18-year-old girl, Penelope Soto, accused of drug possession, made a "smart" comment and obscene gesture to the judge – who quickly handed down a harsh punishment. Don't insult the judge

Here is a Youtube video of the girl’s appearance before Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat on Monday (4 Feb 2013), giving the judge the middle finger and telling him, “Go **** yourself!” . The girl was laughing throughout the proceeding. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrngBPpA_1k

Later the Judge vacated the jail term ( one month behind bars) after she apologized to him in person.

Yes, words have consequences, and you may have to pay hefty price.
But some have escaped punishments in this site, and angered others. That is the luck of the draw.
