Marriages...
Marriages are losing their values in our society these days. There are several
reasons. Two of them are glaringly clear. First, the boy and his family are too
greedy and consider the marriage to be a bargaining ground to squeeze money from
the girl's family. Second, the parent's of the girl set their expectations very
high. They wish to have a prince and their daughter to enter a palace. In the
process while looking for rich and highly qualified professionals as grooms,
they forget to study their family background, attitudes to life, family culture
and traditions. The value systems and finer points for a happy life take back
seat.
Ultimately the bride suffers. Her life becomes very often unhappy and pathetic.
Therefore, most of the marriages in recent times are ending in divorce. There
are more tears than cheers in such situations.
People are losing their faith in giving their daughters in marriages in the same
town or village, apparently to keep up their false prestige and social status.
As the saying goes, "The distant hill is blue", they look for boys in
remote places and frequently invite blues in their lives.
The Internet romance in recent times has added new woes to the parents of both
the boy and the girl. Blinded by electronic views boys and girls jump into
wedlock merely to get shocks.
Just to show that we are modern and to justify that every thing, old and
traditional, are bad and outdated should not push the boys or girls or their
parents to embrace hasty decisions. Eradication of dowry, honouring values and
traditions and careful decisions along with modern mindsets may help families
to arrive at happier situations.Only those who making serious verifications in
search of a life partner can have a endless glee with good children showering
love and happy.
