And cow-dung-cake is either iused for making Agni or used as disinfectant before drawing rangolis or "chulas" before or after firewood cooking. Anybody in the world have the rights to file a patent in any technology.

Cow urine itself is not patentable. As it is naturally occurring without human intervention.
But if you can do something with cow urine to make it useful in some manner (which has not done ever before) then you basically invented something with the use of cow urine, which is patentable. As by filing a patent, you are declaring to that country that you can use cow urine for doing this and this to improve your life. People will like it, buy it and you will be rich.

If the question is about the knowledge we have in india, is being exploited in US, then you must know about TKDL. It is basically a traditional knowledge digital library being supported by Indian government to publish all traditional knowledge India has. This way no one can patent it, once published.

Related to cow urine, if you feel that there is any patent that claims same information, that is known to Indians since ages, you can appeal to US government and that patent will be invalidated.

At the end, those patents will either be claiming information that was never known to Indians, or we need some indian to be pro-active and file a complaint against those patents.

US government will grant all those applications, related to which they do not find any published document. Ultimately, its for the benefit of the world.

Awarding of a patent does not mean that the product is approved for human consumption.
For it to be approved for human consumption as medicine it has to be approved by FDA.
Cow urine gas NOT been approved for human conception.

Has the United States of America ‘obtained’ patents for products made of cow urine? NO again.

The United States Patent and Trade Office has ‘granted’ the patents to assignee Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Granted, not obtained.

The original Wattsapp message was misleading and very old (2002).
A patent is issued does not mean that the product works as promised by the patent submitter.

It just validates that the product or process is unique to that patent submitter.

'Kummutty aduppu' must have been excluded from this treatment for the following reason.
It has its own space for storing the burnt ashes, after it has been used for cooking.
Even is the ash does spill down, it does not matter since ash is pure and purifying!
It may be one of the several vibhoothis accepted as holy - just as the ash obtained from burning the firewood and the ash formed due to wildfires.

But the ashes purity stays as such only if used immediately after collection. But in the North like Ujjain or even in Shirdi perhaps they use the just burnt human body ashes for the day's first aarti called Kaakkad aarti. This is more sacred and least commercial.

Forget about it buying it by paying money.
To me the Kaakkad Arthi sounds intriguing.
Maybe it is to remind all the good/ bad/ ugly people that

I thought that vaeppam punnaakku, kadalai punnaakku, were the ones used as manure / pesticide, - varatti is used for only cooking / homam purposes ; the raw cowdung, mixed in water, is used to make a place worthy for lighting a fire either for a homam or for cooking ; cow dung, according to various researches done by Russians a long time ago is said to have not only disinfecting properties, but also protects from harmful radiation

Technicaly anybody can apply for a patent howver "foolish" the idea is. The patent commitee only sees if there is a similar patenet awarded in its database. If not it awards it. I have read many books by Ayurveda experts and one such book by Dr reddy publshed by TTD called "Griha vaidyam has lots of recipes with Cows urine. While unprocessed cow urine may be distasteful processed cow urine could have benefits. We are not experts to argue or dispute that. Whoever takes insulin would note that most of the slow acting insulins are devived from Pig (part pig and part Human). so we are not talking about something abominable only because it comes from India.

I am no expert in Ayurvedam, but have been learning and practicing it for sometime, and therefore want to put my thoughts here. Quite a few of the medicines used in Ayurvedam, previously rubbished by the general medical community, have been tried, tested for centuries and have proven their worth; the urine of the cow is one such; its the urine of a cow that is producing milk that has medicinal properties and also it has to be a native breed [ the urine of a calf, or a Holstein-Friesian cow is unacceptable for medical purposes ]; this needs to observed when gomayam is used in the making of the Panchagavyam whether for farming or as medicine.
