[h=1]Microsoft is killing a few MSN-branded Apps, including Photosynth[/h] July 11, 2015 Kishore Ganesh Leave a comment Edit
Microsoft’s Satya Nadella promised to get rid of the clutter, and seems to be upholding it, since Microsoft has announced that by the end of this year, a lot of unnecessary apps in Microsoft’s lineup will be axed.
These apps include Photosynth, which is a 3D Panorama App for Windows Phone, and is now being axed in favor of the online cloud-based version. Similarly, MSN Branded apps like MSN Health and Fitness, MSN Food and Drink and MSN Travel would head the way of the dodo on November 1st and Septermber 28th respectively.
Of course, existing users may keep on using the apps (unless they uninstall it). The apps would merely be removed from the respective App Stores and would not be updated. However, some iteration of these apps would live on as official apps in Windows 10.
What do you think? Do you use any of these apps?
