Mobile vs Magnet!

This is my latest experience. Three days back, suddenly my mobile was paralyzed! I could not send SMS or call anyone with mobile.

Incoming SMS and calls were received. I reported to the 24 hr service center, where they gave some instructions which did NOT work!

So, yesterday, I took the mobile to the provider (viz) BSNL and they found 'SIM card crash'! Then I had to give them
the xerox copy

of my passport for id, signature and address proof! A new SIM card was given with the same number for a nominal
charge of Rs. 20/.
But, they could not figure out why the SIM crashed! :smash:

After returning home, I remembered that recently when we stayed at a hotel at Trivandrum, the manager requested us NOT to keep

the key card near the mobile, because the key will not work afterwards. This means that mobile and magnet are enemies! But where

is the magnet on my table? Oh! Yes. Two magnetic strips are pasted to the back of a pad, which I use to take notes and never
hang

on the fridge nearby. Three days back, after talking to my friend, I had kept the mobile on the pad instead of its usual place and the

magnet had
paralyzed my mobile! Just wished to share this with friends here. :)

Moral: Never keep any magnetic stuff near mobile! :peace:

I have come across a few cases of sim card damage; it was always treated as random. Your analysis is nice and valuable.

My daughter used to wear earrings without pins - the thodu was held by a magnet at the back. Not sure whether such rings are still available, since piercing multiple holes in the ear-nose-lip is back with a vengeance.

Dear Sir,

The magnetic studs are very much available in the market.

So, what will happen if mobile is used while wearing this type of studs?

Hence use of mobile headphone is to be recommended:

AS always I am going tangential:

Suppose you decide you're going to reduce your amount of Facebooktime during the week, from daily to only every other day. On those non-Facebook days, you could arrange to meet in person with a friend and go for a walk or meet for coffee and old-fashioned conversation. You could get out and let the dog walk you, or you could window shop with a family member. You could finally tackle clearing out that extra bedroom or painting the hall. If you’re feeling up the time with something good, doing without the digital won’t seem so bad.

No problem for me, Sandhya! For me no F B account; no doggie! :peace:

I clean up my almirahs often and keep in touch with all my relatives and friends.

I remember that 'addiction' thread, Sandhya! :)

Even now the forum addiction is in full force!

Addictions are of many kinds:

1. Number of posts - mostly following E-dharma!

2. Activity - see you wish > 20%

3. Likes -Make groups and shower mutual likes! :grouphug:

4. Number of threads - Starting minimum 20 threads per day. :typing:

(Bonus - 'Discussion Ender' award, since most of the threads don't get replies!)
