'Achhe din' for whistleblower Khemka who questioned Vadra's land deals

The appointment of a one-member commission to probe the controversial Gurgaon land deals, which took place when the Congress was in power in Haryana, has come as a relief for senior bureaucrat Ashok Khemka who has been facing the stigma of a charge-sheet for two-and-a-half years.

Sources in the BJP government told Mail Today that the state government, which is feeling relieved after it handed over the sensitive case to Justice S.N. Dhingra commission, may soon drop the charges registered against the upright officer.

Khemka had to pay a heavy price after he dared to cancel the mutation of a land deal involving Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s influential son-in-law Robert Vadra, who reportedly enjoyed the support of both state and central governments when the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was in power at the Centre.

Khemka was served a seven-page charge-sheet on December 4, 2013.

I think the Commission should probe all land deals not just in Sector 83 in Gurgaon..The land parcel in question is under 3 acres while others (any links to Vadra?) are allotted much more

Digvijay singh is in a hurry to protect sonia gandhi. He said in a tv interview yesterday that none of the dealings of vadra are known to sonia as these were never discussed!

Good start !!. Hopefully the investigation is allowed to complete & necessary actions follow... without getting derailed midway !!

Congress calls probe into Robert Vadra's land deals 'political vendetta'

Congress on Friday described as "political vendetta" the move of BJP government in Haryana to set up a judicial commission to probe various land deals, including those involving son-in-law of party president Sonia Gandhi, Robert Vadra.

"The motive behind setting up of judicial commission (to probe land deals in Haryana), is just to harass him (Vadra) and smacks of political vendetta," Congress spokesman Rajeev Shukla said in Chandigarh.

"Earlier also Rajasthan government found no evidence against Vadra...now Haryana government has set up a judicial commission to probe a private businessman's deals," he said.
