nice to see video of 1945 madurai.

vaigai with plenty of water. amazing.

only recently in jan gone for a function there.

Lot of changes have taken place over half a century .

I still think of jigardanda of that place .

I hope to go again there may end to participate in a marriage function.

We are adding some madurai flavour to our family of half north indians.

a deadly mix of punjabi and madurai aruval culture. think of children of such unions

Enjoyed the video ..A comparison of 1945 with the current...I could see girls going to school in 1945..No motor vehicles..Only cycles and hand rickshaws..Of course the gushing Vaigai water is a pleasant site..Do not forget to see the last 30 seconds showing the current state of affairs

thanks . shall take sometime out to see it .regards

24-11-1945, date displayed in the cinema poster. Even in fifties, in temple towns like srirangam almost all walked without chappals and the hot sun was not a deterrent. It is easier to take a short cut through the temple, street cricket, foot ball, kitti matches were held with bare feet.
