DEHRADUN: While the world is going gaga over the environmental and health benefits of cycling, Mussoorie seems to be taking several steps backwards in this area. In an abrupt decision apparently taken a few days ago, the sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) of Mussoorie in consultation with the local police and municipal council, has decided to ban cycles on the mall road.

The ban has more to do with Politics & Business! Taxiwallahs & cycle rickshaw wallahs are having their business hit post the arrival of cycles!! That's a stupid argument!
