Once King Krishnadevaraya got annoyed on Tenali Ram and asked him
to get out of the Raja Durbar and also told him that He (King) would not
like to see his face. Next day Tenali Ram came to the Durbar with a mask
on his face. The King got annoyed again and asked Tenali Ram as to why did
he come. Instantly Tenali Ram replied that the King only mentioned that he
wouldn't like to see his face only. King laughed immediately and the entire
Raja Durbar broke in happiness.

Tenali Ram in a subtle tone mentioned that a King may be a Noble Man but
cannot become a gentleman unless he does the good things to the people
of his Kingdom.
